If you aren’t giving, start somewhere. It can be 2%. It can be 10%. The point is to begin building a disciplined rhythm of generosity.

Be consistent. Give weekly or every time you get paid, and automate it if that helps. Build a rhythm, because a discipline that depends on your mood isn’t much of a discipline.

IS MY GIVING TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. New Hope Community Church is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. Giving statements are available for anyone who has previously given.
WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED METHOD OF GIVING?
Give however is most comfortable for you. Many people choose to give online because it is quick, secure, and gives easy access to giving history and statements. Gifts by check or cash are also recorded in your giving record.
HOW DO I SET UP RECURRING GIVING?
Click Give Now, choose your amount, and set it up as a recurring gift. You can give weekly or every time you get paid, and you can manage your giving anytime from your Church Center profile. Setting it up once is the easiest way to stay steady.
WHY SHOULD I GIVE?
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
WHAT IS A TITHE, AND DO I HAVE TO GIVE 10%?
A tithe is the first tenth of your income, given to God before you spend on yourself. We see it before the Law with Abraham and Jacob, and Jesus affirmed it in Matthew 23:23. But we don’t want you obsessed with a number. If you aren’t giving yet, start somewhere, even 2%, and let your generosity grow. The goal is a heart that trusts God, not a minimum to meet.
WHERE DOES MY GIVING GO?
Your giving helps people grow in Jesus and meet Him for the first time. It supports our weekend services, ministry to kids and students, care for hurting families, and outreach to our community. When you give, you’re not just keeping the lights on. You get to take part in the church as the hands and feet of Christ, helping make room for the next baptism, the next restored family, and the next person who discovers the grace of God.
CAN I GIVE TO A SPECIFIC FUND OR SPECIAL OFFERING?
Yes. Throughout the year we have special offerings, like student camp, our missions, and our Beyond Hope giving. These are offerings above and beyond your tithe, and we would love for you to help. When you give to the general fund, your gift flows to everything we need to do ministry.
WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD TO GIVE RIGHT NOW?
God cares more about your heart than the size of your gift. Start with what you can, even if it’s small, and be faithful with it. Giving is a way of training your heart to trust God, and that begins right where you are. Pray it through, talk with your spouse if you’re married, and take a step you can honestly take.
