What do we believe?

THE BIBLE
The whole Bible and every word in the Bible is inspired by God. It helps us grow, learn, and love God.
Jeremiah 1:9; Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16
SALVATION
We believe that Jesus motivated by his love for us died for our sins (John 3:16). Through the personal acceptance of Jesus Christ by fait and asking Christ to forgive our sins, a person becomes a Christian (John 1:12; Romans 10:13), and our relationship with God is established.
The acceptance of Christ assures us that:
-
Christ comes into our life (Ephesians 1:13-14)
-
Our sins are forgiven (Colossians 1:14)
-
We become a child of God (John 1:12)
-
We begin a new life with Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 10:10b)
-
We are assured of eternity in heaven (John 11:25, 26; 17:3)
THE TRINITY
God is one, the only God there is. But within this one God, there are three unique individuals - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They've always existed together, they're all equally God, and they share the same divine nature.
Deuteronomy 4:35; 32:29; Isaiah 45:14; 46:9; Exodus 20:3
WHO IS JESUS?
The Son of God became man in the divine-human person of Jesus Christ. (John 1:1-18)
Jesus was fully God (John 10:30), and at the same time fully man. (Philippians 2:7-8)
His death on the cross was the answer for mankind’s sins. (Romans 3:23-26; 1 Corinthians 15:3)
He physically rose again on the third day. (Matthew 28:6; Romans 1:4)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit continues to work in a follower of Jesus to help them Live a life of worship and purpose for God.
1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:18
THE CHURCH
The church is made up of a body of believers who have been called out from the world, which was formed on the day of Pentecost (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Acts 2:1, 42).
The head of the church is Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:18).

We believe that the church is the family of God on the earth. Those who have trusted, by faith, the finished work of Christ are adopted into the family. The church is to participate with God in bringing about His purposes of hope, redemption and grace in the world.
